3. Playing Time at Kentucky vs Ohio State

It’s not a debate when it comes to who has the playing time advantage. Ohio State would likely redshirt Smith, where Kentucky would likely put him on the field in it’s first game. I doubt that Ohio State is telling Smith that he will be a redshirt, but to believe that he wouldn’t (with the talent OSU has) would be an odd assumption. Ohio State is commonly in the ball park for every top recruit in the state of Ohio. Urban Meyer has now had to work harder than he would have like to lure in some of these players. Now, he must battle John Harbaugh as well as Mark Stoops for his players. Kentucky has invaded the state of Ohio and now these top prospects know that they have a better chance to play right away in Lexington as opposed to Ohio State.

Kentucky is in need of receivers. Blue Smith would be a perfect fit for Kentucky at receiver and would see playing time very early. The receiver position is so valued in college football. Elite receivers are as rare as any other position. Now, Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow might get their hands on one.
