2. Relationship with current Kentucky commits

Alex Reigelsperger has been Kentucky’s best player/recruiter that I have ever seen. Not to mention, Alex is a high school teammate of Blue Smith at Wayne High School in Dayton, Ohio.

I believe the relationship between Reigelsperger and Smith will play a big part in Smith’s decision as well. Furthermore, Smith is being recruited by other players in the 2018 class as well. Smith spent the last week with one huge Kentucky Football commit, Jarren Williams. Williams would possibly be the quarterback to throw Smith the ball. Having those two become good friends would only help Kentucky’s chances in landing one of the top athletes in the country.

The other commits especially those in Ohio are very involved in recruiting the top guys. Twitter is a great tool that these players use in aiding in commitments. There is a common strong bond between players of each individual recruiting class. This is a great tool for guys like Reigelsperger and Darian Kinnard as well as others to push Kentucky to the top of the list. When top recruits like Smith hear how good they could have it at Kentucky, that makes the coach’s words mean much more. There is more power behind the recruiting pitch.
