1. Kentucky has a relentless fan-base.

I have spoken to many people, players and coaches alike, and both have unanimously agreed that a school’s fanbase plays a big part in a player’s decision. The University of Kentucky fanbase is looked upon as one of the nation’s most rowdy group of people in the country.

Nowadays, with social media and all it has to offer, recruits actually enjoy the hype from the fans. It makes them feel wanted, welcomed, needed, and desired. These feelings combined make it hard to stay away from any particular program. Now, I know the fanbase isn’t the only reason, but you have to treat it as a major reason behind a prospect’s potential commitment.

When it comes to L’Christian “Blue” Smith, he himself admitted that the fans play a big role in his recruitment.

Kentucky has been the most dominant fanbase in regards to Smith. Go on twitter and type in the search bar #GetBlueInBlue. Kentucky fans are dying for a commitment from this guy, and I think this will play a big factor in where he chooses to play his college football.
