The Ohio to Kentucky pipeline
Peters is a substantial addition to the 2018 Kentucky Football Commits. Furthermore, his commitment intensifies and strengthens the Cats’ most notable pipeline. The go-to recruiting hot bed is without argument, Ohio.
Through five years on the recruiting trail, the ties between Mark Stoops and Vince Marrow to the state of Ohio has proved to be phenomenal. Moreover, that relationship is the biggest reason Kentucky has started to see success in recruiting and on the field.
Despite the loss of four linebackers since the 2016 season, Kentucky remains solid at the position. With players like Jordan Jones, Denzil Ware, Josh Ali, and Eli Brown, the depth and talent at linebacker is in amazing shape.
What the Xavier Peters commitment means for Kentucky
Xavier Peters is a monster, period. On the field, he possesses the skills necessary to strap up at any program nationwide. Additionally, he is one of those guys that comes into the weight room, and people would ask “how’s your senior year going?” He possesses an extremely large frame and a dominating physique.
Peters weighs in at a whopping 230 lbs and is 6-foot-4 from head to toe. Another asset that will benefit Peters (and Kentucky) is his wingspan. The Ohio product is very lengthy. His long arms and athleticism will create the formula used for distinguished tacklers in the SEC.
