“Goose” Givens was in fact one of the best to ever do it. In an unbelievable career, he scored 16.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game. Givens helped lead the Wildcats to the 1978 National Title over the Duke Blue Devils. He has scored the seventh most points in Kentucky history in the NCAA Tournament. He has the second most points in a single NCAA Tournament Game with 41 points to lead Joe B. Hall’s Cats in the National Title Game. Givens also helped the Wildcats reach the Final Four in 1975.
