Rex Chapman played just two seasons at Kentucky. As a dynamic guard from Owensboro Kentucky, “King” Chapman managed to score 1,073 career points. He was the Gatorade state player of the year as well as Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball while at Apollo High School. He went on to have a tremendous NBA career with a number of teams. He was one of the top talents to ever come out of the state of Kentucky in recent history. The man could put the ball in the basket. He was a human highlight reel that could shoot the ball from deep, or drive the lane and rim the rim down. Either way, he deserves a spot high on this list of some of the best ever. Had he stayed another year or so, Chapman would be higher on the all-time scoring list no doubt.
