Sam Bowie didn’t have the page turning statistics but he was a player nonetheless. Bowie was drafted second overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 1984 NBA Draft. He was drafted ahead off the great Michael Jordan. Bowie was a 6-foot-10 force in the paint that took the college basketball world by storm. In an injury plagued career, he managed to turn out three seasons wearing a Kentucky Basketball uniform. Even then, he managed to score 1,258 career points. He ranks in the top 30 in the all time scoring list at Kentucky. He also pulled down 843 rebounds which ranks eighth all time on Kentucky’s rebound list.

Bowie was definitely a sensation. At 218 Blocked shots, Sam Bowie comes in at fourth overall in the career blocks category at Kentucky.
