Keaton Upshaw Commits to Kentucky Football
By Brandon Rue
2018 tight end Keaton Upshaw has verbally committed to join the Kentucky Football program
YAHTZEE! Big time news, yet not unexpected, strikes the state of Kentucky and the Kentucky football program once again.
Keaton Upshaw a three star tight end, announced his decision via Twitter around noon on July 1, 2017.
Upshaw becomes the 14th pledge to the Wildcats in the class of 2018, boosting Kentucky’s national team ranking to 20th per 247sports. The Cats remain 4th in the SEC, but I foresee a shakeup in the near future.

Upshaw reigns from Lima Senior High School in Lima, Ohio. Rated as a top-1000 overall player, and top-45 tight end, this is a great addition for Kentucky.
What this means for Kentucky
This is yet another absolute gem for the Kentucky Wildcats. Upshaw, a 6-foot-7 tight end possess receiver-esqe catching ability, with great speed for his size.
Upshaw will be playing alongside Kentucky star tight end CJ Conrad, giving the Wildcats a galore of offensive weapons.
The addition of Upshaw will likely mean a more pro-style offensive product that the Kentucky staff will put out on the field.
Two big time tight ends, great running backs, along with a top-5 offensive line is the formula you need to have to win games in the SEC.
What’s next?
wildcatbluenation.com can confirm that another commitment for the Cats is coming very, very soon.
I predicted this class to be in the top-15 soon, and it just may happen sooner than expected.
2018 is becoming a heck of a recruiting year for Kentucky, and it looks to increase its star power.

The staff at Kentucky is expecting this to either beat out the historic 2014 class, or be a close second in terms of overall talent.
Who do you all think the Cats get next? Who do you hope they can get? Big news is on the way. Hang tight, because it’s not over yet!
