Kentucky Basketball: John Calipari responds to the NBA Rumors

John Calipari is stationed in Cairo, Egypt where is USA U19 squad is playing in the FIBA World Cup. The Kentucky Basketball coach respond hastily to the recent NBA Rumors floating around today.

John Calipari has always had NBA rumors surround him for as long as he has been the Kentucky Basketball head coach. Calipari has had his run in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets. That didn’t go so well for John. Now, the rumor mill started up again with a report from Ian Begley of ESPN that John Calipari was interested in the president of basketball operations for the New York Knicks.

Calipari has a lot on his plate. He is the head coach of the most prominent program in college basketball. He is constantly recruiting. Also, Calipari is a family man who is going to do what’s right for his wife and children.

Now, Kentucky Basketball fans can sleep well knowing that they have a guarantee from Coach Cal that he will be the coach for a long time.

I don’t know about you guys, but John Calipari doesn’t seem too pleased that these rumors and reports have surfaced. He ends his rant on Twitter spouting his favorite catch phrase, “I like my team.”

Sleep Tight Kentucky Fans

The Bluegrass State can sleep tight knowing that Coach Cal took the time to address these reports head on. He knows that the whole state of Kentucky was just about to catch fire with rage and disappointment. Calipari knows how to comfort the BBN, even from Egypt, at five o’clock in the morning.

John Calipari is busy coaching a couple of Kentucky Basketball freshman and a few recruits over in Egypt. He doesn’t have time to deal with reports and rumors. But, its pretty understandable once something like this surfaces that the Kentucky Basketball world forms an uprising of feelings. But, all is good. For now at least.
