Ramel Bradley

Ramel Bradley was the second player to fall in line, committing on November 10th, 2003. I remember back to that time and honestly he was a dark-horse. Coming from the IMG Academy in Florida not many people knew what to expect from him. But, we all quickly found out how the New York City born Ramel “Smooth” Bradley played the game. I’ll never forget his confrontation with Andrew Bogut in the 2005 NCAA Regional Semifinal game.

I can still see Shagari Alleyne holding him back from ripping into the big Aussie. Ramel was the epitome of heart. Bradley would go on to have a very successful four-year career with Kentucky. He scored 1,326 points in his career which ranks 28th all time according to Big Blue History.

He also ranks 14th overall in school history in the assist category with 316 dimes. This recruiting class had a lot to do with that.
