No Doubt

Derek Willis has an NBA body. He can play the small forward position at 6-foot-9. He has length and the ability to shoot from the outside. Willis can rebound with the bigs and is the ultimate competitor.

He may be an underdog in the NBA but his chances in the Summer League may catapult Willis to the radar of many NBA franchises.

When Derek Willis has his opportunity for the spotlight, he needs to make the most of it. Leave no doubt in the minds of many that he is the best player on his summer team. Even when the Detroit Pistons selected Duke’s Luke Kennard, Willis can use the motivation of a great scorer to model himself by. Kenner was chosen to provide a three point threat. Willis can give them that as well.

It’s only a matter of time after Willis gets his chance that the NBA will realize that he belongs. There is no doubt we will see him playing professional basketball in the united states.
