  • Started all 13 games in 2016.
  • Named second-team AP All-SEC and third-team All-SEC by Athlon sports.
  • One of six players with 100 or more tackles in the SEC in 2016.
  • 7th in the SEC in tackles per game.
  • Team-high tying 3 interceptions in 2016.
  • Tied 10th in the SEC in total passes defended (11).

Mike Edwards is one of the best players in the SEC and on the Kentucky football team. He has progressed each year, and looks for 2017 to be his best yet.

Edwards received high praise raise from Head Coach Mark Stoops last year saying, “He’s the best player on the team.”

I look for Edwards to improve greatly in 2017. Expect an increase in interceptions and tackles for loss for the Badger.
