4. CJ Conrad, Tight End

  • Started in 11 of 13 games during the 2016 season.
  • 4th on the team in receiving with 19 catches, 262 yards, and 4 touchdowns.
  • First Kentucky player with 3 touchdowns in a game since Dicky Lyons Jr. in 2007.
  • Recorded 135 receiving yards versus New Mexico State University, which put Conrad in the top-10 for most receiving yards in a game at Commonwealth stadium.
  • Named to the John Mackey Award Midseason Watchlist in 2016.

CJ Conrad is one of the best tight ends in the entire South Eastern Confernece. 2017 will be a breakout year for the Kentucky tight end.

Conrad imposed his will on defensive front sevens with his impeccable blocking ability. Not to mention his catching and route-running abilities.

I expect Conrad to be the go-to guy over the middle and in 15+ yards situations near the goaline for Kentucky.
