6. Eli Brown, Linebacker

  • Played in all 12 regular season games during his RS freshman season.
  • Recorded 4 tackles against Tennessee with the absence of Jordan Jones.
  • Recorded career-high 7 tackles against Alabama.

I expect Eli Brown to have his playing time greatly impacted in a positive way in 2017.

With the loss of 4 linebackers since 2016, it will be imperative that Brown step up — and it’s reasonable to assume that he will.

I predict Brown to be in the top-3 on the team in total tackles in 2017. With a redshirt year and a year of playing experience, I predict Brown to have a breakout season for the Cats.
