9. Asim “AJ” Rose Jr., Running Back

  • Redshirted as a freshman in 2016.
  • Played and simulated the most dynamic player on an opponents offense week to week in 2016.
  • Carried the ball 3 times while totaling 33 yards in the 2017 spring game.

AJ Rose redshirted during his freshman season while Benny Snell Jr and former Wildcat Boom Williams carried Kentucky’s offense with 1,000 rushing yards a piece.

Rose is a combination of both speed and power. He’s the kind of player who can use his elusiveness and vision to shift past a defensive lineman, but smack his shoulder pads down on an opposing linebacker.

Playing running back won’t be the only position Rose lines up at, though. Rose played some quarterback in high school, so watch for a little trickery out of the wildcat formation in 2017.

I could almost guarantee AJ Rose being an integral part of the Kentucky offense in his Redshirt freshman campaign.
