Kentucky Basketball looks to keep things rolling in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft with Bam Adebayo headed to the Miami Heat.

Bam Adebayo is the Kentucky Basketball player that made the most of his pre-draft workouts. The NBA Draft mocks have had Bam Adebayo moving steadily up the boards. His ability to show teams his ability to shoot the basketball. He didn’t have to do much shooting at Kentucky, which turned some teams off.

Adebayo is an NBA player and there is no doubt about it.

In his freshman season at Kentucky, Bam averaged 13 points.  Also, he managed to pull down eight rebounds per contest. His ability to rebound the basketball late in the season helped lead the Kentucky Wildcats to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament.

In addition to his paint presence, Bam finished the season with eight double-doubles for the Cats. He will look to do much of the same with his abilities with his new team.

The Miami Heat

Bam will join Coach Erik Spoelstra in Miami. The Heat are a storied franchise that has championship history. Although, the current heat team may be under the radar at the moment. He will play alongside Hassan Whiteside. At the fourteenth pick in the NBA Draft, Bam Adebayo definitely surged his draft stock due to his pre-draft workouts.

Bam is the third Kentucky Basketball player to be drafted in the top 15.  That’s also the third Wildcat drafted in the 2017 NBA Draft lottery. That’s really nothing new for the Wildcats.

Next: The All-Kentucky NBA team that could win the Finals

Adebayo looks to fill the role of Chris Bosh who is battling a possible career ending disease. Bam’s ability to rebound could help the young Heat become a consistent playoff team. The Big Blue Nation can now lay claim to yet another NBA team with a Wildcat player.
