Kentucky Basketball: All three Wildcats make the first cut of the USA U19 team
Kentucky Basketball coach John Calipari has made the first round of cuts for his USA U19 squad.
Kyle Tucker at SEC Country has been giving the big blue nation updates all week at USA camp. In Colorado Springs, John Calipari has made his first round of cuts for his team. All three Kentucky Basketball players made the first cut, as expected.
Here is a list of 18 players who made the cut per Kyle Tucker:
- Hamidou Diallo (Kentucky)

- PJ Washinton (Kentucky)
- Austin Wiley (Auburn)
- Chuma Okeke (Auburn)
- Quinton Rose (Temple)
- Mitchell Robinson (Western Kentucky)

- Bol Bol (High School)
- Immanuel Quickley (High School)
- Jordan Brown (High School)

Kentucky Recruits
Every high school player that made the cut is a recruit that Kentucky will have their eye on. As John Calipari makes future cuts, he has to have recruiting in the back of his mind. Three of the five high school players already hold offers from Calipari and Kentucky. Cameron Reddish, Immanuel Quickley, and Bol Bol look to play for Coach Cal for the U19 squad. The other two prospects, Louis King and Jordan Brown have yet to get a Kentucky offer, but their performance in Colorado leads me to believe that it’s coming shortly.

Notable Departure
A notable name to not make the first cut include Marques Bolden. The former five-star recruit has had an underwhelming career at Duke so far. Kentucky was in his final considerations before choosing the Blue Devils at the end of the last recruiting cycle. Bolden did not make the cut making way for names like Bol Bol and Jordan Brown from the high school ranks.
