Kentucky Basketball: Building the perfect 2018 recruiting class

Nazreon Reid

Power Forward

Height: 6-10

Weight: 220

Naz Reid is a beast. There just isn’t any way around the fact. In this “Perfect” class, Reid would be the second power forward prospect. I would say that Bol Bol would play the five-spot at Kentucky. Although John Calipari likes positionless players, Bol is definitely meant to be on the interior. Reid is an elite rebounder that could also give more depth to the front court at Kentucky.

Frontcourt Depth

To most, front court depth will be an issue at Kentucky next season barring draft decisions from Nick Richards, PJ Washington, and Jarred Vanderbilt. Those three are the core of the paint play this season. If the NBA wants them, John Calipari will need to fill the void. Reid would be able to that. Reid doesn’t hold an official offer from Kentucky just yet but it’s only a matter of time. He just released his top seven schools and Kentucky made the cut.

Offensively, Reid is a powerful player. He has a repertoire of effective post moves. He can hit the money on his turnaround fadeaway jumper from the post as well. Reid has also shown that he has some shooting ability as well. Again, with this recruiting class, offensively, the Kentucky Basketball team would be a scary sight to see.
