For Kentucky Basketball to continue to be successful, recruiting must stay at an all-time high.

John Calipari has embraced the rules of the game more than anyone in the country. Kentucky Basketball has had the first or second ranked recruiting class in every year that he has been at the helm. After pulling in one of the best recruiting classes ever in 2017, Kentucky does not have a commit from the class of 2018. This could change in the very near future. Kentucky Basketball is in the running for many top players in the next class. Adding to this incredible group of freshmen will only make for an even better Kentucky team next season.

Adding the Classes

It is doubtful all eight of the Kentucky freshmen will make the leap to the NBA after the 2017-18 season. Some will choose to stay for a sophomore season and Wenyen Gabriel and Sacha Killeya Jones may even feel that staying for a junior season is in their best interests. Adding to this kind of team is something John Calipari is used to. Anyone remember the 38-1 team? There were quite a bit of sophomores in that group.

With that said, building the class of 2018 won’t be easy. But, if John Calipari could have it his way, here would be the perfect recruiting class that could bring Kentucky another NCAA National Championship.
