2. Landon Young, OT

Landon Young is a home grown product. A native of Lexington, Kentucky and Lafayette High School, Young became the highest rated recruit in the Stoops Era in 2016. Young was rated as a four-star product by 247Sports and the sixth best offensive tackle in his class. Landon Young was selected to play in the Army All-American game along with fellow Kentucky born recruits Drake Jackson and Kash Daniel.

Young just wrapped up his freshman season at Kentucky. After playing nearly 50 percent of the offensive snaps for the season, Landon Young showed potential that he can play Left Tackle in the SEC. Young was also named to the freshman second team All-SEC by Athlon Sports.

Landon Young looks to improve and step into a possible starting role in 2017. As one of the best offensive lines in 2016, coach John Schlarman would like to see the same production from his group this season.
