Mohamed Bamba

If you follow college basketball, you’ve heard the name Mohamed Bamba. The 6-foot-11, self-proclaimed power forward is the number two prospect in the country. His incredible 7-foot-8 wingspan and defensive presence has made him a target for every team in the country. Bamba has narrowed his decision down to three, and fortunately, Kentucky is the front runner according to 247 Sports’ Crystal Ball at 58 percent.  Duke and Texas are in the mix at the moment, but most experts are leaning Kentucky.

People have questioned the frontcourt depth since the departure of Isaac Humphries. Right now, it’s sizing up to be five star freshman Nick Richards and Tai Wynyard running the five position next year. If Kentucky were to land Bamba, it would create a sense of security for fans and would most likely give Kentucky the early nod as the top team in the country. Bamba’s signing would make him the highest-rated signing, giving John Calipari another sure fire top-three pick in next year’s NBA draft.
