Terrence Jones played at Kentucky for two seasons. He arrived on campus for the 2010-11 season. Along with Doron Lamb, Brandon Knight and Enes Kanter, Jones was part of many top recruiting classes for John Calipari.
In the world of the one and done, Terrence Jones chose to return for a sophomore season. The 2011-12 season was one that all Cats fans can remember. John Calipari recruited a kid from Chicago named Anthony Davis who would take the college basketball world by storm. Terrence Jones would team up with Davis, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, Marquis Teague, and Darius Miller to win Kentucky’s eighth national championship.
In his two seasons at Kentucky, Terrence Jones tallied 14 points and eight rebounds per game. The National Title win boosts him up this leaderboard more than others as he was a key contributor for the Cats during his time there. Jones is the perfect example of staying to hone your skills and increase your chances of becoming successful. Jones became a first round draft pick as the Houston Rockets chose the 6-foot-9 forward as the 18th pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.
