Nerlens Noel spent one season at Kentucky under coach John Calipari. At 6-foot-10, Noel was a rim protector who excelled on the defensive end of the floor. While at Kentucky, Noel averaged 10.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. A near double-double average places him on this list among some of the best to wear No. 3.

Noel declared for the NBA Draft after spending one season in Lexington. He finished his lone season as a Wildcat as the SEC Defensive Player of The Year in 2012-13. Nerlens was also an All-SEC selection as well as SEC Freshman of The Year.

Nerlens was drafted by New Orleans with the sixth pick of the 2013 NBA Draft. Noel was traded to the Philadelphia 76ers before the night was over. Nerlens Noel is currently spending his professional career with the Dallas Mavericks. He has averaged 10 points and 7.5 rebounds as a pro. Noel could be in the right spot now in Dallas to let his talents flourish.
