Kentucky Basketball Signee Quade Green Suffers Concussion at Nike Hoops Summit

Kentucky Basketball has built yet another top recruiting class. The focal point of the class could arguably be point guard, Quade Green.

In a season full of all-star like games, the top players in the land compete against each other in various sponsored events. Highlighted by the Mcdonald’s All-American game, The Jordan Brand Classic, as well as the Nike Hoops Summit, the nations top players will get very familiar with each other over the course of a few weeks. Kentucky Basketball commit, Quade Green is one of the best point guards in the country, so it comes as no surprise that he is participating in all the top showcase games.

News broke that Green suffered a concussion in practice for the Team USA of the Nike Hoops Summit. The five-star guard is widely considered one of the best point guards in the class. Lots of Kentucky Basketball similarities compare him to Tyler Ulis.

Quade Green is the Real Deal

The impact that Quade Green has on the floor is essential to a successful basketball team. Kentucky Basketball will need Green to be efficient to run the team in a guard-depleted squad. Also, John Calipari is working to add to the backcourt depth but nothing has happened just yet.

Green, a 6-foot-1 point guard will enter the summer as the one of the key components of the Kentucky Basketball Recruiting class. Along with Jarred Vanderbilt, Nick Richards, Shai Alexander, and PJ Washington, John Calipari has built another No. 1 recruiting class. This pool of talent will be led by Green with the ball in his hand. In addition, Quade Green is a five-star guard and is the twenty-fourth ranked player in the class.

There are a few things for certain. Quade Green will be ready to lead this team next season. He, and Hamidou Diallo will likely start in the backcourt for John Calipari with another recruit, yet to be determined, to play in relief. Also, Green’s dynamic passing ability will be key in getting Kentucky’s playmakers open shots and quick transition buckets. This Kentucky Basketball class may be one of Calipari’s more athletic classes. But, the scary thing is, its about to get even stronger.
