Apparently, baked crust pockets full of goodies are a Lexington stake in the food scene. Calzones come into the countdown as the second most ordered food on winning game days.

In an unbelievable stat, Calzones were ordered 153% more of the time on winning game days than on losing game days. That’s a pretty strong correlation. My question is, what’s different from an Italian Calzone, which is our No. seven “Lucky” food on our countdown. Well, an italian calzone is filled with pepperoni, sausage, and your general pizza-like toppings. Calzones could technically be filled with just about anything.

Here is our “Kentucky Calzone” fillings:

  • KFC Chicken
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Bacon
  • Woodford Reserve
  • Ale 8 one (mixed with Maker’s Mark)

Throw that together and see if the Wildcats can’t pull out a victory over UCLA.
