Roster is Finally set up for a 12-Game Season

It has been a long time since anyone could say that we are at least two-deep at virtually every position. On the offensive side of the ball, seniors Stephen Johnson and Garrett Johnson, and returning sophomore Benny Snell, will lead the Cats. Stephen Johnson finished with 2,037 passing yards and 13 passing touchdowns. Garrett Johnson is returning with a team-high 585 yards and 5 touchdown catches. As long as the offensive line upholds the reputation they developed last year, the offense should not skip a beat.

The defense has top performers in Jordan Jones, Chris Westry, Denzil Ware and Mike Edwards, who finished the season with a combined 322 tackles and 4 interceptions. We also have an almost-automatic kicker in Austin MacGinnis, who was 16/19, with game winners against Mississippi State and Louisville.

My questions for this football team remain until they show me otherwise: Can the defensive-line provide enough playmakers to stifle the opposing team’s offense? Can we get anything out of the punter, Grant McKinniss this year?
