Stevie Johnson played in Lexington for two seasons in 2006 and 2007. After attending Chabot College for two seasons, Johnson transferred to Kentucky where he would become a star. In 2007, Johnson’s final season in Lexington, he caught 60 passes for an SEC-leading 1,041 yards and 13 touchdowns. Most people remember the time “Stevie Got Loose”.
Johnson was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round of the 2008 NFL Draft. In his eight year career, Johnson has tallied 381 receptions for 4,764 yards and 34 touchdowns. Johnson spent the first six seasons in Buffalo before spending time with the San Fransisco 49ers in 2015, and the San Diego Chargers last season. Injuries have limited Johnson’s production on a few occasions but there is no doubt in the talent of this Kentucky Great.
