"Looking in the mirror, I’m embarrassed"

Feb. 4: Kentucky blown out in Florida 88-66

The Wildcats lost at Florida 88-66, and it was terrible. But it was even worse than that score lets on.

This blow out came after losing to Tennessee and Kansas back to back, then narrowly escaping Georgia in an overtime win. Kentucky could have easily lost its fourth game in a row, but three out of four was reason enough to worry.

“How is this happening? This team is so talented. They were averaging almost 100 a game!” While the loss to Tennessee was Kentucky’s worst of the season on paper, none felt as demoralizing as the one at Florida.

This called for the moodiest of Drake songs. Funny enough, “Buried Alive Interlude” doesn’t feature Drake. Kendrick Lamar digs deep for bars from a pretty dark place. After Kentucky’s awful loss to Florida, I’d say most fans felt buried alive too.
