Isaiah Briscoe

Grade: C

Isaiah Briscoe has had a season of ups and downs. Early on, fans saw Isaiah Briscoe as the new and improved leader for this team. A Calipari heralded Sophomore, who came back to Kentucky to improve skills and draft stock. Briscoe’s first half of the season had shown promise. The second half has been a different story. Briscoe has become a turnover machine. The Kentucky “Veteran” has 74 total turnovers on the season. This is not a good stat to have if you are to be counted on to have the ball in your hand.

With that said, Isaiah Briscoe has shown Kentucky fans, flashes of greatness. On December 29, in a matchup against Ole Miss, Briscoe recorded just the third Triple-Double in Kentucky Basketball history. Briscoe finished the Cats victory with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists.

Isaiah is quietly averaging 13.1 points per game along with a 5.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game. The eye test and turnover issues warrants Briscoe with a C grade. Without the Turnovers, we’re looking at maybe a B or higher.
