Malik Monk

Grade: A+

Malik Monk has been an absolute superstar for the Cats. The Lapanto, Arkansas native is averaging a whopping 21.7 points per contest this season. That is the highest average for a player in the John Calipari Era. Monk leads the SEC in many scoring margin statistics. The Kentucky Guard has recorded a Conference high 650 total points, while shooting a league best, 41.6 percent from beyond the arc.

Monk’s season has been highlighted by God-Like shooting performances. In a barnburner of a game against North Carolina, Monk scored 47 points to lead the Wildcats to a victory. In an epic second half performance against Florida on February 25, Monk scored 30 of his 33 points in route to a vengeful victory.

Monk has yet to score less than 11 points in a game for the Wildcats. Let’s hope that continues through march.
