Derek Willis

A native of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Derek Willis has left his very own impression in the history of Kentucky Basketball. The 6-foot-8 forward has stepped up when the Cats need him most. With a sweet shooting stroke, the Bullitt County alumni has given the Wildcats a spark in times of need.

As a Kentucky player from the Bluegrass, this senior night will be special. The fans cannot wait to send Willis off into the Rupp Arena sunset. Getting playing time within a mix of five-Star prospects isn’t easy. Derek Willis has mad a name for himself with the best of the best of the Kentucky Players he’s gotten the chance to play with. The likes of Karl Anthony-Towns, Julius Randle, James young, and Devin Booker, Willis has gotten to see some great talent roll through Lexington.

Fans will not forget about Derek Willis as his time at Kentucky will expire. The Big Blue Nation will always remember the sweet pick-and-pop three point shot that sounds so smooth as it barely touches the net on the way through. Nobody can deny that when Willis gets a breakaway, and slams one home that the whole crowd doesn’t get up out of their seats in appreciation.
