The Rookie

The Benny Snell bandwagon is full. We’re pretty certain that the offense will be revolving around the Sophomore-to-be. With a total of 1,091 yards rushing on the season on 186 carries Snell finished the season leading the Wildcats with 13 touchdowns. The Freshman running back broke Randall Cobb’s touchdown record with his tenth score against Georgia.

Kentucky will depend on Snell to carry the workload in 2017. As the feature back in Eddie Gran’s offense, Benny will look to build upon this historic season.

At 5-foot-11, 220 pounds, Snell was an absolute bulldozer. Fans lobbied for Benny to take the main workload over Boom Williams, but the tandem seemed to make the most of sharing the spotlight as they both surpassed 1,000 rushing yards on the season. To beat it all, Benny didn’t even record a carry in Kentucky’s first two games of the season. Both of those contest resulted in a loss of the Cats.
