A Deep Threat

Tavin Richardson saw a little bit of minutes last season. Richardson managed to catch nine balls for 160 yards on the season. Although the big receiver didn’t get into the endzone, he will be expected to put up significant numbers in the absence of Jeff Badet. Badet served as the Kentucky deep ball go-to guy in his tenure as a Wildcat. Badet announced that he would transfer at the conclusion of the season.

Tavin Richardson will be entering his redshirt Sophomore season in Lexington. The 6-foot-3, 210 pound receiver looks to have great hands and speed. With the size and strength to overpower most defensive backs, Richardson could look to be in the hunt for an increase of footballs being thrown his way.

Richardson was a highly sought after recruit at one time. With 20 division one, Power 5 Conference offers on the table, the big wideout chose to come to Kentucky. Obviously, he has a ton of talent. Highlighted by offers from Miami (FL), Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and Louisville, you know Kentucky had a win in this big fella. Take a look at one of the big plays of Richardson’s early Kentucky career.
