One of Kentucky basketball’s most highly touted recruits in 2015 was point guard Isaiah Briscoe. With a powerful frame, a mountain of upside, and the athleticism to torment opponents on both ends, he earned rave reviews entering the 2015-16 season.

Unfortunately, Briscoe struggled mightily with his shooting touch, thus resulting in his being unable to cash in on a one-and-done opportunity.

Briscoe finished the 2015-16 season with averages of 9.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.0 steal in 32.2 minutes. He shot a respectable 48.1 percent on 2-point field goals.

Unfortunately, Briscoe was just 5-of-37 on 3-point field goals, which translates to 13.5 percent.

Furthermore, Briscoe managed to convert just 46.0 percent of his free throws. That’s an especially troubling reality when one considers the fact that his offensive game is predicated on getting to the basket.

Fear not, Kentucky fans; after struggling in 2015-16, 2016-17 will be a breakout year for the Wildcats’ sophomore sensation.
