43. Jeff Sheppard

Jeff Sheppard is one of the very few players in any program to be able to say they won two National Championships in college. Sheppard was a vital part of both the 1996 and 1998 National Championships for the University of Kentucky due to his redshirt status between his junior and senior seasons.

The 6-4 guard was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four during the Kentucky Wildcats 1998 National Championship topple of the Utah Utes his senior season.

Sheppard was also named to the All-NCAA Regional Team and All-SEC during his senior year in 1998. Sheppard scored a total of 1,091 points, which ranks him pretty high in Kentucky Basketball scoring history.

Sheppard was in the NBA for a short 18 games for the Atlanta Hawks. After that, Sheppard took his talents overseas playing for a handful of teams in Italy but ultimately decided to move back to Kentucky after the 9/11 attacks.

Sheppard now lives in London, Kentucky with his wife and two children.

The two own an apparel company and are deeply involved with their community.  In 2010, he was involved with a project to restore video and audio of Kentucky’s 1958 National Championship team. Not a bad gig for the guy who was once a pharmaceutical rep.
