17. Rajon Rondo

What can you say about Rajon Rondo? He didn’t have the BEST career at the University of Kentucky but boy has he shined in the NBA.

Another homegrown product out of Eastern High School in Louisville, Kentucky, Rondo is one of the most prestigious point guards in the NBA, granted he keeps his sassy attitude in check. He is a four-time NBA All-Star, one-time All-NBA team selection and a four-time All-Defensive member. He also led the NBA in steals during the 2009–10 season and assists during the 2011–12 and 2012–13 seasons. He began his professional career with the Boston Celtics, winning an NBA championship in 2008. His tenure with the Celtics ended in 2014 when he spent one season with the Dallas Mavericks.

Since his time with the Mavericks, Rondo joined fellow Wildcat Demarcus Cousins, then was joined by Willie Cauley-Stein with the Sacramento Kings.

He still puts up big numbers, and seems to play his best basketball in the playoffs. He’s a guy you know you can always lean on in late games.

Every summer, Rondo heads back to his home-state of Kentucky and holds Camp Rondo for kids of all ages. It takes place at his high school alma mater, Eastern High School. It is known to be one of the top camps and kids of all ages enjoy and look forward to it every year.
