27. Sean Woods

Sean Woods came back to his Old Kentucky Home in 2012 to coach the Morehead State Eagles after coaching at a handful of other universities.

Woods held coaching jobs at the following places:

  1. 2003-05 High Point (Assistant)
  2. 2005-06 Texas A&M Corpus Christi (Assistant)
  3. 2006-08 Texas Christian (Assistant)
  4. 2008-12 Mississippi Valley State
  5. 2012-Current Morehead State

It sure didn’t take him long to come back to the state of Kentucky.

Woods, an Indianapolis, Indiana native, was a member of the Wildcats from 1988-1992, and was a main part of the 1992 team, the “Unforgettables” led by mostly seniors who had spent all four years in Lexington.

If you’re a Kentucky fan, you know that shot they show every single year of the Duke Blue Devils beating the Wildcats…the shot by the devil.

Oh, sorry, I mean Christian Laettner. Well, it was Sean Woods that put the Wildcats on top with minimal time remaining in overtime, prior to that last second shot, that should not have happened after Laettner physically stepped on a Kentucky Wildcat.

Anyway, I’ve probably upset you. I know I don’t like thinking about that shot..but they rub it in our face every. single. season. Either that, or the other Christian shot, Christian Watford for the Indiana Hoosiers over the 2012 National Champion Kentucky Wildcats.  Yuck.
