Top 50 Kentucky Wildcats Prior to John Calipari Era

Well all know that since John Calipari’s arrival in Lexington, he’s funneled through a plethora of talent and produced some of the greatest NBA players in current history.

However, even before John Calipari’s arrival in Lexington, the Kentucky Wildcats weren’t exactly running low on talent. The history of Kentucky Basketball is filled with some of the greatest players of all time. So, I’ve created a list of the Top 50 players in Kentucky Basketball History prior to the arrival of John Calipari. This list will feature Wildcats that were playing prior to the birth of John Calipari, some prior to his coaching career and some he was able to coach towards the end of their collegiate career. With the immense amount of talent to ever take the court in Lexington, it’ll be hard to please every Wildcat fan with a list like this. However, I truly believe that many will enjoy reminiscing on the history of Kentucky basketball. Some of these guys will be household names, some may be names you’ve never heard of, however, this will be extremely informative and will likely bring a smile to your face. It’s hard not to smile when you think about the history of such an elite program.
