26. Missouri Tigers vs Kentucky Wildcats

After taking on the Missouri Tigers in Rupp Arena earlier in the season and pulling out a 86-37 win, this game seemed like it was in the bag for the Wildcats.

However, Missouri fans had another idea. They had a fire fueled within them as Devin Booker took the court. Booker’s father, Melvin Booker, was once a Missouri Tiger, so many felt Booker should have been, too. That fire from the fans could be felt within the players, too.

The Tigers looked strong and feisty for most of the first half. They were able to make easy shots and keep the game within reach. Missouri fans were on their feet, pulling this team to  A dunk by Missouri’s Jakeenan Gant late in the half pulled the Tigers within 32 to 25. The Wildcats showed some second half struggles, missing easy shots. Missouri struggled to take advantage of the Wildcats struggles but pulled within six points with less than 15 minutes to play.

The Tigers were plagued with foul trouble and the Wildcats were able to maintain control of the game and take advantage of the foul trouble. Pulling out to a big lead, winning 69-53 behind Andrew Harrison’s 15 points and 3 assists and Dakari Johnson’s 7 rebounds.
