8. UCLA Bruins vs Kentucky Wildcats

(14-15)

The Wildcats were a force to be reckoned with when they played the UCLA Bruins in Chicago in the 2014 CBS Sports Classic.

The Wildcats pulled out a 83-44 win over the Bruins. That number doesn’t seem too alarming, it’s what happened during the game that sent UCLA fans into a fury.

The Wildcats were leading 24 to 0 before UCLA scored their first point with 12 minutes left in the first half.

What?! That’s crazy. Their defense had completely shut down the Bruins and the Bruins had absolutely no answer.

Kentucky led 41 to 7 at halftime. It was the lowest point total in a half in history for the Bruins and the fewest by a Kentucky opponent since December 1943.

Another crazy statistic. The Bruins stood no chance against the Wildcats. However, they did play with this in the back of their minds when they took on the Wildcats at home this season. Pulling off the win and obliterating the Wildcats on all ends.
