17. Arkansas Razorbacks vs Kentucky Wildcats
2015 SEC Tournament
The No. 21 Arkansas Razorbacks felt they were the team to cause the upset. They came out running their mouths to the Wildcats. They played with fire and knew they had the talent to keep up with the Wildcats. However, not one second did they lead the Wildcats in the SEC Tournament final. Not one.
Willie Cauley-Stein scored 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in beating the Arkansas 78 to 63 for the program’s 28th SEC Tournament title. Kentucky started the game with an 8-0 run behind Andrew Harrison’s two early three-pointers. The Razorbacks had yet to trail in the tournament, but against Wildcats the best the Razorbacks could do was tie the Wildcats, but they never were able to get ahead.
Michael Qualls’ led the Razorbacks and was hitting his fair share of three point shots, trying to keep the Razorbacks in the game, but his talent just wasn’t enough against the Kentucky Wildcats to beat them single handedly.
It was a quality game for the Razorbacks, but the Wildcats were just too much to handle.
