The player who has topped this list did something that many teams hope for but never get. This player took an N.I.T team from the year before and brought the spotlight back to the Big Blue Nation. He has his own song, his own dance, and now a spot a top of the Calipari point guard rankings. John Wall is the best point guard that has played under Coach Calipari.

They say that numbers never lie, and the story does not waver in Wall’s game. While at Kentucky with a star studded class of DeMarcus Cousins, Eric Bledsoe, and Patrick Patterson around him, he was still able to manage 16.6 points per game. Of course with those players around him, he had to share his plate. Wall assisted to his teammates 6.5 times per game while also eating the glass with 4.3 rebounds a game.

The numbers did not lie, but it was not his numbers that caught the crowds eye, it was his flash and speed that had every one in aw of his game. The first game of his collegiate career started out with a full court sprint that lead to a pull up jumper for the win against Miami of Ohio.

Wall loved the spotlight and always came to play in the big games ready to make the big play. Down against a rival Uconn, Wall came up with a steal off a pass to take it the other way for an and one finish. Talk about finishing against rivals, maybe his best collegiate dunk came on the road at Indiana with a left handed jam in transition.

John Wall was everything for Kentucky that year, he even finished second in the NCAA Player of the Year award in his freshmen year. His swagger turned a whole states dance moves to a simple flexing back and forth dance.

John Wall did not make a final four, but he did end on a good note being drafted number 1 overall to the Washington Wizards. His flashy, freakishly athletic abilities transformed what you are seeing now from guards in the NBA. He is fresh off another top assists season in the league as well.
