#1 Anthony Davis

This one is rather obvious if you’ve been paying attention. While there are deserving centers from the Kentucky Wildcats since John Calipari has been in Lexington, Anthony Davis takes the cake for the #1 center.

Davis, who just signed the leagues biggest contract for over 145 million dollars is the face of the NBA. He’s on the rise and he’s getting better every year. Soon enough he will be the leagues MVP, you can mark my words.

The kid who hit a growth spirt in high school with the awkward unibrow (which is now trademarked) and was really still finding himself while in Lexington, found himself as the #1 pick of the 2012 NBA Draft, a 2012 National Champion (38-2) and with many Player of the Year awards. While opposing fans poked fun at his appearance, Kentucky fans embraced Davis, loved him as their own and helped create an absolute monster on the court.

He was the man behind the blocked shot heard around the world against UNC as time was expiring for the win. He is one of the best players in the history of Kentucky Basketball. There was no way I could not give him the number one spot for centers, he’d probably also get the #1 player from Kentucky since John Calipari has arrived in Lexington.
