#8 The 1950-51 Kentucky Wildcats

After a year without a title, the Kentucky Wildcats came back to win the National Championship in 1951, the Wildcats third title in the past four seasons. This team, also coached by Adolph Rupp was post-Fabulous Five and newcomers were making a name for themselves. Names like Bill Spivey, Cliff Hagan and Lou Tsioropoulos are from this season. These are names that most Wildcat fans know and love. This team, like the previous teams, have jerseys in the rafters at Rupp Arena.

To win their third National Championship, the Kentucky Wildcats beat the #4 Kansas State Wildcats 68-58. The first game of the tournament was a game against the Wildcats now arch rival, the Louisville Cardinals.
