OCTOBER 5
EASTERN KENTUCKY COLONELS (9-4)

Playing FCS programs is never a winning situation for the Division One schools, but it has become a regular scheduling trend. There should be plenty of drama as the EKU Colonels come to Commonwealth, but the Kentucky Wildcats need to just keep their focus on the field. The drama stems from the events of early 2015 when former EKU player Colton Scurry was involved in a bar fight with some UK players and came out the loser. Also, Drew Barker was sucker punched by another former EKU player and that video made national rounds.

The Colonels finished 9-4 last year and made the FCS playoffs but they still should be no match for the SEC Wildcats. Looking for more drama? Former Wildcat running back Dy’Shawn Mobley is also on the roster and thrived last season with the Colonels. This game will definitely be a lot chipper than your normal FBS/FCS matchup.

However, this is still a FCS program that Kentucky should put away early. Last years Colonels started 6-0 and finished 3-4 and had a 52-3 loss to Florida.
