Well this escalated quickly. On Monday afternoon, 247Sports analyst Jerry Meyer spoke to the Lexington Herald Leader and told them that he thought that Jamal Murray would stay in the 2016 class and may go straight to the NBA and never play in college. Then, without warning, Murray seemingly transported to the Kentucky campus last night and then Meyer and the rest of the 247Sports Crystal Ball pickers were changing their tune and saying Jamal Murray is now a Kentucky Wildcats lean.
"Things often change fast in the world of basketball recruiting, and the latest shakeup could be a huge plus for Kentucky. 247Sports national analyst Jerry Meyer had predicted Oregon as the most likely destination for Canadian combo guard Jamal Murray for months. On Monday night, it was reported that Murray was on an official visit to Kentucky, and Meyer subsequently changed his “Crystal Ball” pick to UK. Murray is considered the No. 9 overall prospect in the class of 2016 by 247Sports, but he is contemplating a move to 2015 that would allow him to play college basketball next season. As of early Tuesday morning, UK held a 58-percent majority of the predictions onMurray’s Crystal Ball page."
All I can stay is stay tuned, folks.
Meanwhile, the Caleb Swanigan watch continues. Jerry Meyer now thinks that Swanigan will go to Purdue but the Kentucky Wildcats continue to make inroads.
"“What I’m hearing from a really good source is that they’re making inroads,” Meyer told the Herald-Leader. “What I’m hearing is that the (UK) staff is feeling positive about it. “But Swanigan and his people are not talking.” California has already used up its allotted number of scholarships (13) for next season, though there’s always a chance that an unexpected departure could free up a spot. Purdue is the local choice with ties to Swanigan’s family, and that program could offer him more playing time on the perimeter, something that he’s expressed an interest in. Kentucky is looking for another post player, and Swanigan — at 6-8 and 270 pounds — offers something that Marcus Lee and Skal Labissiere do not. “I think it’s a deal where Marcus Lee and Skal need him, because they’re not physical players,” Meyer said. “So I think he’s a good fit with them.”"

Tonight we learn the order of the NBA Draft as the ping-pong balls have already dropped and the order will be revealed. The big prize is apparently the Kentucky Wildcats Karl-Anthony Towns. Towns grew up a New York Knicks fan and now could have the opportunity to be their savior.
"One of the teams with its eyes on Towns is the New York Knicks, and the 7-footer has been open about the fact that he grew up rooting for the Knickerbockers. He recently told The New York Post it would be a “childhood dream” to don the blue and orange: It would be an honor, not only as a player, but as aKnicks fan, to be able to play for that organization. It’s gonna be, I guess a childhood dream — rooting for theKnicks all this time, and the next thing you know, you hear an organization call your name to go out there and give it your best shot. I think it would very cool, and really very honored and blessed to be able to play for them. The Knicks have the second-best odds at winning the top pick and the Philadelphia 76ers have the third-best odds. The Minnesota Timberwolves have the best odds at the top spot. And while the draft won’t be held until June, Towns’ future certainly will get clearer on Tuesday night."
