Kentucky Wildcats should get Mychal Mulder commitment today
By Paul Jordan
After a couple of rough weeks on the recruiting front, John Calipari is expected to snap his losing streak and add a commitment for his Kentucky Wildcats this afternoon. Mychal Mulder will be making his announcement today and is expected to choose Kentucky. Some sources indicate that it is a done deal.
According to the speculation, there will be an announcement at 3:30PM today at Vincennes. Getting Mulder will add that sharpshooter from long-range this team sorely needs.
"Mulder – a 6-4 shooting guard from Windsor, Ontario – led Vincennes (33-2) in scoring with 15.7 points per game this past season. He also made 88 three-pointers and shot 46 percent from long range. Wichita State, Creighton, Minnesota, Missouri and Mississippi State are among the other programs that have extended scholarship offers. Mulder will have two seasons of eligibility."

It’s kind of amazing how quickly things change in the recruiting world. Only a week ago, it seemed like St. Johns was on commitment watch from Cheick Diallo but now apparently it is a two team race between the Kentucky Wildcats and Kansas Jayhawks.
Diallo is expected to make his announcement today or tomorrow and the speculation is that it will be Wednesday. If Kentucky can get Diallo, they will regain the top recruiting class rank from Duke. Duke moved to number one after the Brandon Ingram commitment yesterday.
"Duke surpassed Kentucky for the No. 1 spot in the 247Sports Composite Recruiting Rankings with the commitment of Brandon Ingram, but a commitment from Cheick Diallo would put the Wildcats back on top. According to the Class Calculator, Kentucky would overtake Duke with a Daillo commitment. A 6-9, 218-pond power forward from Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior New American School and originally from Mali, Diallo is ranked no. 6 in the 247Sports Composite. 247Sports is hearing that Kansas and Kentucky are in a dogfight for Diallo with St. John’s as a dark horse. A decision is expected in either Tuesday or Wednesday."

Jaylen Brown cut his list yesterday and it was a shock to some that he cut the UCLA Bruins. The Kentucky Wildcats are still alive, but it seems that Michigan is now the hot pick for Brown.
"Top five prospect Jaylen Brown cut his list today, and Michigan went on a run in his Crystal Ball. According to recruiting analyst Evan Daniels, Brown has eliminated Georgia, Georgia Tech and UCLA from his school list. Coinciding with the elimination of UCLA, Michigan started registering in Brown’s Crystal Ball. An athletic multipurpose 6-7 wing from Marietta (Ga.) Wheeler High School, Brown is ranked No. 3 in the 247Sports Composite."
