Tonight at 6:10 PM, Brandon Ingram, the #4 player in the 2015 class will make his announcement and the Kentucky Wildcats are a decided underdog. There are some pundits that think John Calipari has made a late strong push for Ingram, but a Kentucky announcement tonight would be a true “shock the world” moment. Only 3% of the 24/7 Sports Crystal Ball “experts” have Kentucky as an option and it appears that anyone but Duke would be an eye raising moment. Ingram’s recent comments seem to point Duke in a strong way, although he still insists the decision has not been made.
"“I’m still torn between a few schools,” Ingram says in the above video. “So I’ve set a timeline for myself, April 27th, because I’m ready to get it over with.” Duke, which twice met with Ingram last week, is the clear favorite on the 247Sports CrystalBall, owning 76 percent of the predictions as of this writing, but that hasn’t always been the case as North Carolina initially led. “What has stood out with [Duke] is them telling me how unique I was,” Ingram told ESPNU on Tuesday before the second Duke visit. “[Coach K] knows a lot about me and they are a great fit for me.” Apparently the addition of reclassified point guard Derryck Thornton to Duke’s recruiting class made a positive impact on Ingram. “It impacts [my decision] a lot,” he told ESPNU. “That [lack of a point guard] was one of my concerns coming and looking at the particular schools so that impacts a lot.”"

The big event in Lexington this weekend was the Nike EYBL Tournament in which the top 2016 and 2017 targets provided a showcase. One of the Kentucky Wildcats top targets in 2016, Malik Monk, made an eye-opening statement of his own in front of John Calipari and made his case for the top player in the class.
"Apparently, five-star recruit Malik Monk likes to play basketball in the Bluegrass. The Arkansas native averaged 25.2 points per game and made 44 percent of his three-point attempts in four games of Nike EYBL play this past weekend at the Kentucky Basketball Academy. He connected on 80 percent of his free throws (32 of 40). Monk — a 6-foot-3 shooting guard — is ranked by Scout.com as the No. 4 overall prospect in the class of 2016. UK Coach John Calipari has made Monk a major priority for next year, and he watched him play twice Saturday and once Sunday. In those three games, Monk averaged 27.0 points per game and made half of his three-pointers (9 of 18)."

For most of the year, the pundits have dissected and agonized over the NBA draft potential of the Kentucky Wildcats Aaron and Andrew Harrison. And now, for the first time, the Harrisons are entering the mock drafts. As it stands now, it looks as if John Calipari could break his own record and have seven players drafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, at least according to DraftExpress.com.
"Aaron Harrison had previously not been on the mock draft, but with guys like Jakob Poeltl of Utah, Kris Dunn of Providence and Caris LeVert of Michigan opting not to declare, Harrison is now listed at No. 60 — or Mr. Irrelevant — in the 2015 Draft. “When someone withdraws from the draft, everyone behind that person moves up a spot,” Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com told SNY.tv. “There were around 15-20 guys who almost certainly would have had a strong chance to get drafted who elected not to enter this draft, which caused a lot of guys to move up. There will be a few international players who will withdraw at the deadline on June 15th that will move up some guys even further.” Kentucky’s picks now look like this: No. 1 – Karl-Anthony Towns No. 6 – Willie Cauley-Stein No. 15 – Devin Booker No. 17 – Trey Lyles No. 34 – Dakari Johnson No. 47 – Andrew Harrison No. 60 – Aaron Harrison"
