Fate smiled on former Kentucky Wildcats football player Chris Matthews last night and if not for perhaps the worst play call in the history of football, Matthews could have been the MVP. What? Emmit Smith said that about the playcall, but I agree.

Anyway, you can not take away from Matthews’ big night. Seems that his namesake, Chris Matthews of MSNBC’s “Hardball” has been having some for with his Super Bowl namesake.

"NBC Sports announcers Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth joked about which Chris Mathews – the player or the host – outranked the other on Wikipedia, sparking jokes on social media and the trending topic: ”Hardball with Chris Matthews.” Based on the player’s Twitter handle, @TheRealCMaTT13, it seems this isn’t the first time he’s been mistaken. MSNBC host Chris Matthews took to Twitter to congratulate the player after his standout catches. “Congratulations on a great first half to the @Seahawks Chris Matthews from the @hardball Chris Matthews!” he said."

In case you missed it, here is another look at Matthews’ Super Catch.

Having a Super Bowl commercial has become something of a Mark Stoops tradition with the Kentucky Wildcats.  I know that this commercial was probably finalized weeks ago before but it took on an appropriately defiant tone given the events of the last week with Kentucky Football.  Instead of #WhyNot, Mark Stoops want to know “Who’s With Me”
