As we head towards National Signing Day, this is perhaps Mark Stoops’s last big chance to get a few Yahtzees in advance.  At least five Kentucky Wildcats will be visiting Lexington.  Here is a rundown of a couple of them and check the link for more.

"South Carolina wide receiver Tavin Richardson makes his long-awaited official visit to Lexington this weekend, just a few days ahead of his college decision. Richardson is arguably UK’s top target at receiver and has already made multiple trips to UK. He hosted Wildcats offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson earlier in the week. The 6-foot-3 prospect will announce his college decision Jan. 30. Central Florida, Louisville and Pittsburgh are also in the mix. Junior-college target Kayaune Ross — another wide receiver — will also be in town for his official visit. Ross — a 6-6 prospect from Ohio — recently finished his first season at Phoenix College (Ariz.) and told the Herald-Leader earlier in the week that he would like to commit to the Wildcats. Ross also told the Herald-Leader that he has already visited Lexington once in the past couple of weeks. Defensive lineman Courtney Miggins — another junior-college player — will visit UK this weekend after taking in Mississippi State last week. Miggins — a 6-5, 285-pound prospect from Atlanta — told 247Sports earlier this week that the Bulldogs are the favorite in his recruitment."

Being a Miami Dolphins fan, there is no question what side I take in the NFL “Deflated ball” scandal.  I hate the Patriots and while they would have trashed the Colts regardless, there was an intent to cheat.  Enough about my view though.  Seems that ex Kentucky Wildcats QB Jared Lorenzen had his own thoughts on the controversy.

"Jared Lorenzen, often opinionated on social media, tweeted Wednesday that, “Every QB likes footballs a certain way. Quit acting shocked. Mine had high seams, low-end of air. Every ball was like that. #ThxUKManagers.” Two twitter users who state in their Twitter bios that they’re current UK managers replied to Lorenzen. First, Clay Bollinger: “we don’t know what you’re talking about…” Then, Mitchell Meyer: “yeah, we just don’t know” So, given the sarcasm, what those managers said on record backs up some of what an anonymous staffer told Yahoo! Sports’ Charles Robinson back in January of 2013, after USC dismissed a member of its staff for deflating balls. It happens everywhere, and at least at the college level, coaches don’t widely view it as cheating."
